Manufacturing Technician II
Purpose/Role Statement:
With general supervisory direction, assist in the daily support of products, processes, materials, and equipment in order to achieve production goals (i.e quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and safety).
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and troubleshoot process, material or equipment problems to minimize down time
- Revise existing documents, processes and/or methods to correct or improve processes/product
- Assist in Value Improvement (VIP) and Employee Involvement Team (EIT) projects, implementing new equipment or processes or improving existing ones for cost savings
- Collect data and perform statistical analysis for process characterization, Cpk and scrap reduction goals
- Work with Process Development to bring new products into production
- Work with departmental customers to improve material quality and delivery
- Train and provide technical support or direction to product builders, other technicians, and planners.
- Work with SAP, SWR and MES systems to ensure daily tracking and building of product
- Interface with Finance to establish and maintain costing of special work requests
- Interface with Quality, Planning, and Production to establish and maintain correct SFP for product
Quality Systems Duties and Responsibilities:
Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.
Qualifications:
Typical minimum education/years experience: 2 year technical degree and 1 - 3 years technician experience. Must be familiar with SAP, SWR and MES systems.
