Business Intelligence and Reporting Analyst: Inuvo
Position Summary Reporting to the VP, Consumer Products & Business Intelligence, this position will effectively provide financial analysis, systems, and processes that can enhance management decision making. The position is expected to interface and provide support and guidance to all operating units to ensure a cross functional and collaborative team environment. This individual will be strongly motivated and a self-starter.
· Oversee data analysis and interpret results. Determine underlying story from multiple data sources and crystallize resulting implications for business. · Bring a new level of customer reporting, analysis and insights to the Inuvo products. · Communicate key findings to cross functional partners in a precise and succinct manner. · Manage ad hoc requests and development of analytical methodologies including test plans and key metric templates.
Requirements Knowledge / ability –
· Conduct detailed analysis of customer response to marketing programs with focus on sales, incremental sales and ROI. Translate data into key findings and actionable recommendations for future strategy. · Prepare monthly and / or seasonal summaries of marketing programs and key customer information including revenue, gross margin, customer attrition, migration and growth.
· Minimum of 5 years of analytical experience in marketing /customer database analytics such as: analytic segmentation, direct marketing test design, response analysis, measurement strategy development, ROI analysis, modeling, web analysis, etc. · Familiarity with financial reporting & analysis; · Must enjoy formulating hypotheses, gathering results, analyzing data, and making appropriate recommendations for change. · Keen interest in using multiple data sources and approaches to achieve analytic objectives. · Expert in using MS Excel, MS Access, and/or other database-driven software to perform complex analysis and reporting. · Competent writing SQL queries. Ability to create list extractions and aggregations. Experience working with large databases. · Experience using SAS, SPSS or other statistical analysis tool for analysis and modeling is desirable. · Ability to float between high level creative thinking and tactical analytical details. · Must be able to multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced environment. · Familiarity with a retail marketing environment is a plus. · Demonstrated ability to work remotely and independently.
Education /certifications / licenses –· Bachelor's degree with an emphasis on marketing, applied mathematics, business, or related field
