Resource Manager

Job Description

The Resource Manager will procure a steady and economical supply of suitable raw materials from sources such as forest suppliers, wood processing operations, farms and ranches, and urban centers for manufacturing facility.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop new wood raw material resources from wood processing operation, forest managerment, and logging operations, agricultural operations, and urban centers
  • Purchase the best value biomass raw material mix and qualtity to compliment the overall goal of optimizing income from operating plants.
  • Develop and maintain a raw material quality monitoring program to evaluate each source for the purpose of stimulating quality improvement, and minimize the amount of low quality raw materials received.
  • Prepare short and long term raw material supply and pricing forecasts. Negotiate and administer raw materials supply contracts that meet or beat the raw materials forecast
  • Manage the biomass raw material deliveries and inventory to the forecast.

Job Qualifications

  • B.A/B.S. Forestry, Agriculture, or related curriculum
  • 5 yrs in Forestry/AG related occupation involving knowledge of sawmills, and general biomass fundamentals.
  • Purchasing, transportation logistics, general science
  • Current State required driver's license
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, Excel, Word, Good math skills, must be able to travel, must be able to travel, must be self motivated/assertive
