Our Client’s Energy Control Systems Department is looking for a Senior Application Analyst or below, depending on experience. This position will perform system management functions on the computer systems that support real-time Energy Control System applications. We are looking for someone to design, code, implement, and maintain Gas and Electric SCADA applications. This role will perform 7/24 on-call duty supervisor functions. The Senior Application Analyst or below will be held accountable for the design, implementation, daily operation, and moderate/complex troubleshooting of our Windows 2000-2003 Operating Systems and real time applications. This position ensures successful Service Level Agreements with key internal and external customers. The Senior Application Analyst or below reviews impacts and consequences of all system changes, builds and installs client and server applications as required, and provides EMS database and end-user interface support. This position also performs on-call support as required. Supported platforms include: Windows 2000/2003 Advanced Server running AREVA EMS/SCADA, OATI E-TAG and OSI/PI software.

Required:

• 2 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of experience and education to perform the job.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting experience with Windows 2000/2003 Operating System, Visual Basic or .NET application development.
• Strong programming skills in Visual Basic, .Net, Oracle administration/maintenance and SQL. Project management skills and or experience.

Desired:

• BA/BS in Electrical Engineering or computer science.
• Knowledge of utility business processes.
• Have knowledge of systems using AREVA EMS, OATI E-Tag, and OSI/PI software and/or have the desire to learn the applications and the software.
• Experience programming interfaces exchanging data with multiple control systems, databases, data historian.
• Developing applications in VB 6.0 or .NET, XML, C#
