SUMMARY

Develop, design, implement and evaluate instructional programs and courses using a variety of educational methods.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties maybe assigned.

  • Develop and review course materials with input from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) including but not limited to: selection of appropriate instructional methods, development of instructionally sound course objectives, design and development of realistic scenarios and case studies, and design and development of valid assessment tools
  • Apply established instructional design processes across an extensive curriculum
  • Responsible for developing, conducting, and analyzing training needs assessments for assigned projects
  • Assist in the development of different levels of training tasks and products against training requirements
  • Consult with customers on performance management and instructional strategies
  • Design and improve learning tools and development processes
  • Document and present tool and methodology ideas to the CAE instructional design community
  • Proactively prioritize efforts to meet course milestones
  • Apply Instructional System design (ISD) principles of training goals/objectives.
  • Interface with project manager to confirm instructional methods and sequences are being followed

Ability to support periodic travel, nationally and internationally

· Incumbent must be eligible for DOD Personnel Security Clearance.

Education and/or Experience

· Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in instructional design/technology, learning sciences, education, or equivalent in a related field

· Minimum of (5) five years professional experience in systematic approaches to curriculum development

· Minimum of (5) five years of operational experience in military aviation and maintenance operations.

· Experience designing and creating self paced, interactive instructional content

· Experience in applying instructional design expertise in ways that transform products, services, and development processes

· Expertise in conceiving multiple design solutions and articulating solutions

· Strong customer interfacing skills and business acumen

· Excellent writing and presentation skills

· Experience leading project teams through the design and development process

· Active involvement in the learning industry. Knowledge of current and future instructional design trends

· Strong project management skills

· Experience with Learning Content Management Systems such as Outstart Evolution®
