Inc. The Nations largest Integrator specializing in IBM DB2 UDB &
IBM Informix relational databases is seeking an experienced IBM SQL
Server Database Administrator to support our clients and perform
database consulting assignments, database health checks, assessments,
database migrations and troubleshooting.
Microsoft SQL Server
Database Administrator. The responsibilities of this position include,
but are not limited to end-top-end operational support capacity
planning, data backup/recovery, performance monitoring, job scheduling,
system integration, performance tuning, and participating in or
managing technical projects.
** At least 8 years of experience
in a similar role, responsible for managing and maintaining complex IT
environments with emphasis on High Availability and business continuity
(clustering and redundancy, backup and restore solutions, disaster
recovery procedures) production and/or mission critical environments
-Must
have MS SQL 2000 & 2005 Database management -Must have expert
knowledge of MS Windows 2000/2003 -Must have experience with SQL
application queries/stored scripts -Must be a self-starter but team
oriented -Must have attention to detail and be able to generate
documentation
** BA/BS in any area of the sciences or engineering
** Knowledge of Operating Systems software
** Technical expertise pertaining to products and services in the responsibility area including, but not limited to:
** Working knowledge of using databases in Client/Server and Wide Area Network (WAN) environment.
** Experience with database design, maintenance and tuning.
** Proven ability to work independently and with a project team.
** Good attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

performance, conformance to standards and naming conventions; generate
database definitions.
** Communicate all changes to the database system to appropriate individuals..
** Assist IT staff in the deployment of developed database software.
** Evaluate conditions and needs and recommend changes regarding database design.
** Develop solutions to hardware and operating system problems.
** Coordinate database system upgrades with IT staff, end users and vendors.
** Develop, publish and maintain database operations manual under revision control.
