Responsibilities: • Meet or exceed budgeted GE and non-GE sales and gross margin targets with assigned accounts in the local market. • Develop account plans/penetration strategy using formal Gexpro tools with branch manager approval. • Perform all aspects of selling to maintain and develop new or existing customers including: take-offs, project quotations, closing orders, preparation of submittals and resolving customer problems. • Work with a team to achieve sales objectives in the product groups including switchgear, electrical control, lighting, and commodity electrical products. Requirements: • Electrical product knowledge; including lighting, switchgear, controls and electrical commodities. • Demonstrated knowledge of electrical distribution or other electrical sales environments. • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate on all levels within internal and external groups. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Good team player. • Strong organizational skills. • Ability to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines. • Ability to type on a computer keyboard. • Associate or Bachelors degree, technical school training. Desired: • 2 years of sales experience in Contractor and/or Industrial markets. • Familiarity with automated order entry systems & PCs running Windows based software. • GE product knowledge. • Knowledgeable and current about market, customers and vendors. • PC skills. • Training program graduate.
