Administer, design and support responsibilities comprising multiple OS platforms encompassing the overall UNIX infrastructure (Solaris, SUN, AIX, LINUX, HP_UX). Provide continued support and standardization of Legacy PHS systems and services Assume a leading role & active participation within our various data center migration initiatives. Maintain life-cycle management of key Legacy PHS Solaris zone and container systems running SUN cluster as well as playing a lead role in the (SUN) teams over-all PLM efforts. Responsible for server builds, installations and OS tuning. Utilize knowledge of Veritas clusters and volume management. Provide complex problem analysis/trouble-shooting of issues impacting the [SUN] environment. Configure and support DNS, NIS, NFS and TCP/IP. Create and maintain documentation in support of our [SUN] infrastructure. Work with mass storage systems: EMC, IBM-ESS and Hitachi SAN/NAS. Participate in off-hours change activity as well as [7x24] on-call support. Qualifications · Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
· 5 years of related, progressive, post-baccalaureate experience.
· Must have demonstrated experience with administering/supporting multiple OS technologies (SUN, AIX, LINUX); Solaris
zones/containers, Veritas clusters and volume management; configuration and support of DNS, NIS, NFS and TCP/IP; and
mass storage systems: EMC, IBM-ESS and Hitachi SAN/NAS.
