Senior Software Developer - C#/Silverlight

Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Senior Software Developer - C#/Silverlight.The responsibilities of this position include the following: - Build a Silverlight application that integrates with the existing client/server infrastructure
- Develops functional specifications based on vision and scope provided by the Development Manager, both alone and in conjunction with other developers and the Architect
- Performs literate programming, using adequate commenting and documentation tools
- Adopts industry standard and team-specific coding practices
- Provides reasonable estimates of time and materials required to complete vision and scope goals outlined by Development Manager
Skills Required:- 2-3 years of working with the current-generation languages and platforms or equivalent coursework
- 2-3 years of experience working with multi-threaded development or equivalent coursework
- Commitment to industry standard code practices and literate programming style
- 2-3 years of working with the STL and APIs for the targeted platform or equivalent coursework
- 2-3 years of object-oriented design experience
- Prior work experience with Silverlight
- 5 years of experience with C# development
- Familiarity with implementing client/server architecture
- Demonstrated experience writing commercial-grade software applications
- Deep understanding of multithreading and real-time software architectures
- Knowledge of the Model View ViewModel design pattern
- A strong understanding of object-oriented design
- Degree in CS or equivalent experience
- Experience working with build tools such as automake and autoconf or Nant
- Experience working with source control system such as CVS or Perforce
- Prior development work on client/server systems
- Prior development experience with WPF
Skills Preferred but Not Required: - Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people
- Highly motivated with attention to detail
- In-depth knowledge of current-generation programming languages and APIs
- Commitment to industry standard code practices and literate programming style
- Expertise in object-oriented design and patterns
