We are seeking a Director of Global Compensation and Benefits. The Broadcom culture requires an assertive and flexible individual that is proactive in communications and able to develop effective relationships at all levels within the company.
Key responsibilities include: · Overall design, implementation, communication and administration of the organization's total global compensation and benefits programs for the U.S. and international offices (base salary, incentive compensation, and equity compensation), for all levels, which are competitive and have an impact on the long- and short-term performance of the company · Position total compensation practices and programs to attract and retain talent and support business and market needs · Understand stock options/RSUs extremely well with regard to tax and accounting regulations · Act as an internal consultant to business units on all compensation practices; identify emerging workforce issues related to compensation and benefit practices and develop innovative solutions · Oversee the administration of the base salary program to ensure internal and external equity · Coordination of the technical career ladder process and support for the monthly meetings · Analyze the existing compensation and benefit structures of acquired companies and designs processes to integrate new personnel in the company programs or develop recommendations for alternatives · Process role for all of HR relative to the corporate M&A activities to include participation in weekly calls regarding M&A. The purpose is to help facilitate the due diligence process as well as make the appropriate preparations for on-boarding the acquired employees · Identify market trends, monitor competitiveness of programs, model cost implications and recommend innovative and effective compensation and benefits programs and solutions · Ongoing participation and data analysis in multiple high tech salary surveys covering 18+ countries to determine market competitive total reward practices · Directly supervise compensation and benefits, including staff development, process improvements, policy interpretation, projects and reports, compliance with all laws, and coordination with corporate policies on benefits issues with system-wide impact · Work with outside consultants participating in the design and development of HR technology tools in support of compensation/benefits planning Job Requirements : · Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business, or related disciplines required. An MS or MBA degree is highly desirable · 10-15 years of progressive Human Resources management responsibility and experience desired, Benefits & Compensation initiatives and departmental staff · 10-15 years experience supporting a company on a global basis and progressively more complex compensation experience, including international, variable and senior management compensation and equity highly desirable · Proficient PC skills; Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), PeopleSoft
