Ft Myers, FL Job Description : Assigns, oversees, and reviews the work of 16 technical and non-technical employees in Microbiology. Directs all phases of work, quality, service, and costs; and performs tests or assays as required. Strong supervisory skills required including ability to relate professionally with people, manage performance and mentor direct reports. Must have strong analytical abilities, verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and time management abilities. Responsible for hiring, training, appraising performance, disciplining and terminating employees. Within compliance of state and federal labor standards, may work at the bench level intermittently for purposes of QA/QC, training, and workflow. Job Requirements : Normally requires a B.S./B.A. Degree w/1-3 years of experience. Must meet all State & Local licensing requirements where the laboratory is located and must meet CLIA requirements. FLORIDA SUPERVISOR LICENSE REQUIRED. |
