Clinical Administrative Coordinator - Las Vegas, NV
Primary Responsibilities:
- Initiation of cases by data entry of clinical into the Facets system, via telephone, fax or computer.
- Electronically routes cases to the nurse for review and decision. After decision, responsible for accurate case completion to include generation of approval letters while staying within compliance with time frames.
- Communicates with providers other departments as needed. Works independently with minimal supervision.
- Review and process fax/telephone/computer requests to meet departmental key indicator productivity and accuracy standards; maintain minimum of 95% case data entry accuracy
- Follow departmental policy regarding accurate documentation of clinical data, demographic and product information, provider/facility contract status; appropriately route cases to RN for clinical review; follow department policy for non-clinical level notifications
- Maintain 100% of letter generation accuracy within compliance time frames
- Provide high level of customer service while communicating with internal departments and provider office staff as pertains to performance of job responsibilities
- Problem solves routine to complex issues related to durable medical equipment, home health care and orthotic/prosthetic cases

- Strong knowledge of Medical terminology is required.
- 1 + years experience using CPT and ICD9 coding is required.
- Typing skills 30-35 wpm is required.
- Ability to learn state and federal laws / regulations is required.
- Proficiency in MS/Office (Word, Excel & Outlook) is preferred.
- Minimum 2 + year experience in a health care facility, medical office, and hospital or managed care environment is required.
- High School graduate or GED is required.
- Bilingual (English /Spanish) is preferred.
