Automotive Maintenance Technology Instructors - Part Time for Evening School

Responsibilities:

  • Teach automotive maintenance technology theory coursework, classroom management, lab management, review and assist in curriculum development two nights per week.

Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • AS degree or adequate industry experience in AMT or related field.
  • Practical work experience in the following subject areas:
    1. Engine mechanical diagnosis and repair which includes measuring and rebuilding engines.
    2. Knowledge and experience in electrical system operation, diagnosis and repair which includes service manual usage, diagnosis charts, charging/starting systems, engine and body management systems.
    3. Knowledge and experience in performing engine performance/driveability diagnosis which will include scan tool and low voltage scope usage.
    4. HVAC system operation, design, diagnosis and repair.
  • Computer literate in MS Office.
  • Teaching experience desirable, but not mandatory.
