Description:
This is a full-time position reporting to the Executive Director of Enrollment Services. The Coordinator is responsible for the management of the day-to-day operations and frontline activity of the Admissions and Records welcome areas. He/she will travel daily between the two main campuses (Macon, Union) and site locations; some state travel for professional meetings, some work evenings and weekends and some out-of-state and overnight travel as needed.
Essential Job Functions:
- Serves as the initial contact for students' seeking conflict resolution regarding admissions and records requests and issues and when necessary directs students to appropriate services.
- Manages day-to-day operations as related to all frontline and telephone functions including scheduling, incoming and outgoing mail, training and special projects.
- Supervises frontline staff serving students at the welcome areas of enrollment services as well as frontline telephone personnel.
- Collaborates with the college community to resolve enrollment issues.
- Provides daily updates to staff regarding current information pertaining to all aspects of enrollment services that may need to be disseminated to the public, students, and staff.
- Assists with interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Keeps current with changes in regulations, policies, procedures and programs that affect Enrollment Services.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four (4) year college or university; one (1) years experience in an Admissions and Records with demonstrated organizational skills and experience in conflict resolution.
- Knowledge of database, internet, spreadsheet, and word processing software.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and experience in conflict resolution.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manual; must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from large groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio and percentage and interpret statistical information.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Current Drivers License.
- Daily travel between the two main campuses and site locations.
- Travel mostly within the state for attendance at professional meetings.
- Some out-of-state and overnight travel is required.
- Work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Physical demands include the ability to sit and talk or hear; ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms; ability to occasionally stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; specific vision abilities required by this job include vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
