Creative Trainee - Copywriter
Position Summary: Assist in translating innovative concepts into finished copy for print, television, radio, and collateral material. Assist in producing bold, strategic, persuasive messages in all media for Agency clients.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Background Requirements:
JOB DUTIES PROJECT MANAGEMENT:- Assist in checking and monitoring status of ongoing projects - As a liaison, assist in ensuring thorough, complete, detailed and accurate information and communication is shared between directors, photographers, editors, set designers, illustrators, freelancers, etc., for both print and broadcast production. - Attend print and/or broadcast shoots - Assist in archiving recorded and produced storyboards and other print material
STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT:
- Participate and contribute to creative briefings, creative concept presentations to the Associate Creative Director, to Account Service, to clients - Assists in evaluating skills to determine the effectiveness, engagingness, attributes, etc., of an ad depending on the results of quantitative and/or qualitative testing
CONCEPT & DESIGN:
- Assist in developing an ad idea (print layouts, logos, storyboards, basic design, etc) that correlates/meets the requirement of a specific creative brief, while taking into consideration any financial and time constraints - Write advertising copy from conception to completion for print, broadcast and other media to promote the sale of goods and services. - Proof and edit own and others work for clear, concise and convincing writing; and for grammatical and material accuracy - Work collaboratively and synergistically with the Art Director for concept, storyboard, or print development. - Assist in ensuring ad integrity during the ad idea concept development, pre, post and actual production of the ad.
CONTACT:
- Review and attend screenings presented by: - Directors - Photographers - Producers (TV/Music) - Assist in reviewing TV and/or print pre-bid book presentations - Work with post-production houses (editors)
RESEARCH:
- Attend focus groups (quantitative/qualitative research) - Assist in maintaining library of reference material relating to assigned clients - Assist in ensuring textual and factual data presented in advertising is accurate, cleared through legal - Maintain awareness of new technologies and advances that may impact print and broadcast production
