Job Description:

This person manages and coordinates the activities of the System Engineering Department. This person will be responsible for the implementation and monitoring of policies and processes controlling system design, documentation, implementation, and test of new systems. This person leads internal systems engineering activities on complex system development throughout all contract phases; and ensures the system meets customer specifications. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Manage department activities to design new products, modify existing designs, improve design techniques, and develop test procedures in accordance with customer specifications
• Assign and oversee systems engineers to new and existing projects
• Coordinate activities concerning technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems
• Monitor status of projects ensuring deadlines and milestones are met
• Participate in initial discussions with potential customers regarding customer needs and requirements
• Review customer's technical specifications to assist in the development and preparation or proposals, pricing, statement of work and other documents
• Provide status and progress reports to customer, project team, and management
• Perform other duties as requested

• BSEE and significant related engineering experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
• An MSEE is preferred
• Previous experience leading engineering teams, substantial engineering experience in several functional areas of engineering, software, RF, digital, or equivalent is necessary
• Experience interfacing with customers and preparing technical documents is preferred
• Experience in the design / development / testing of military electronics systems or similar is strongly preferred

This position pays 100000.00-140000.00 annually
