The IT Pharmacist supports clinical computer applications which directly or indirectly affect the pharmacy systems and/or applications which utilize medication information. The IT Pharmacist will be supporting either directly or in a consultative capacity the evaluation of products, assessment of operational issues, upgrades, implementations, and maintenance of pharmacy computer software systems and any associated pharmacy automation systems. This position requires a solid working knowledge for current pharmacy and health system practices. This position requires strong analytical, organizational communication and creativity skills as well as the ability to work collaboratively or independently on various projects simultaneously. There is a significant amount of problem solving skills required. Excellent interpersonal skills are critical as there are numerous interactions with internal staff and external vendors. Must possess a solid working knowledge of information system technology, information system processing and desktop solutions as well as having excellent verbal and written communication skills.
REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor of Pharmacy degree required.

Pharm. D. - Doctorate of Pharmacy preferred.

Current California Registered Pharmacist. Pharmacy Residency preferred.

Minimum of three years related experience and a minimum of 1 year management experience required.
Additional Information: Weekend and/or Holiday Rotation may be required. Rotating shifts may be required. |
