Administers and directs programs to maintain buildings, grounds, equipment, and procure or generate all utilities and their distribution systems; coordinates these activities with other departments to insure safe and efficient operation. As Safety Officer, the Director of Plant Operations plans, organizes, directs and coordinated the activities of the safety program(s) in the hospital. Oversees the function of and assures compliance with regulatory and accrediting body standards for, Safety Management, Security Management, Emergency Management, Hazardous Materials, and Waste Management, Life Safety Management, Patient Care Equipment Management and Utilities Management.


Experience - 5-7 years progressive experience in supervision and maintenance of activities involving installation, construction and maintenance of equipment, utilities and building. Prefer at least 3 years experience as hospital maintenance supervisor or assistant director.





Education - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering discipline preferred. Certifications and registration in specialty areas related to Maintenance/Engineering desired.
