Well established proprietary furniture company seeks a hands on CFO/ Controller for its New York City office. Candidate would need to possess a strong knowledge of a manufacturing environment and be able to bring structure and process to manage concurrent entrepreneurial initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Business planning and reviews to monitor all vital business metrics and provide recommendations
• Budgeting, variance analysis
• Inventory Control and Cost Accounting for Manufacturing
• AP/ AR
• Bank reconciliations
• Commission structures and tracking
• Financial Statement preparation and analysis
• Import records
• Policy and Process development for timely, efficient and controlled operations
• Retail Sales policies and procedures
• General policies and procedures for expenses; human resource compliance
• Management of direct reports and dotted line supervision
• Contract review for large purchases, materials, equipment, labor; lease/buy decision analysis
• Operational systems function - phone, computer, internet services
• Sales tax collections and quarterly filings
• Retail Sales: familiarity with credit card processing machines, merchant statements and fees

Job Requirements

· Minimum 7-10 years of increasing responsibility within manufacturing business

· Strong knowledge of Quickbooks and Excel

· Some knowledge of POS systems and Inventory tracking systems

· BS in Accounting

· CPA a +
