ACS International Transportation Solutions is preparing to provide Program Management, Systems Integration, and Operations Management services to international consortiums that will be working in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to design, build, install, operate, and maintain traffic management, law enforcement, and security systems at various locations in the Kingdom. Upon initiation of work on this five-year program, you will join a team of professionals with varying disciplines for varying durations of assignment in Saudi Arabia. INTERNATIONAL OPPORTUNITY: KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA Position: Technical Manager
Responsibilities: Individuals in this position will perform the following activities:
· Maintains understanding of the detailed technical requirements of the program, as they are related to the system hardware, software components and communication infrastructure, based on original client contract documents and each subcontractor’s agreed upon statement of work.
· Provides consistency and synchronization across all platforms, and integrates other systems and technologies. Ensures system performance optimization, maintenance and production.
· Manages and actively participates with a technical team of systems engineers, hardware/software engineers, and network engineers.
· Provides expert support to technical staff.
· Maintains, develops, processes, architecture and tools for improved system availability and operational efficiency for within data center environments.
· Evaluates and applies technologies to meet current or emerging business needs.
· Conducts reviews of subcontractor plans for system hardware and software components including designs, drawings, bills of materials, test scripts, and other such materials. In so doing, make comments/suggestions, identify concerns or gaps in work undertaken and identify resolution strategies for same.
· Coordinates, conducts and reviews various activities among the subcontractors such as joint design reviews.
· Plans, conducts, and documents results related to system hardware and software components from joint design reviews with subcontractors. Ensure results of, and changes from, joint design reviews are integrated back into work plans.
· Participate in various activities conducted by the subcontractors such as field installation site surveys. In so doing, make comments and suggestions and identify concerns or gaps in work being undertaken.
· Audit various activities conducted by the subcontractors such as field equipment commissioning tests. In so doing, make comments and suggestions and identify concerns or gaps in work being undertaken.
· Assess performance of the subcontractors through reviews of status reports on schedule performance and cost performance. In so doing, raise awareness when performance falls below target. Work with relevant subcontractors to develop and execute remediation plans.
· This position reports to the Implementation Manager.
Qualifications: Individuals in this position will need to have experience that includes:
· Excellent mix of technical, team-building, and project management skills. Delivering to set deadlines.
· Experience of 8-10 years in project management involving architecture- system design, installation, test, and commissioning in field settings.
· Knowledge of various hardware platforms and product lines for servers, data storage, workstations, other related components and software product lines for applications, databases, reporting tools and other related components.
· Experience serving in a project management role that involves the coordination of subcontractors’ activities to meet scope, schedule, and budget.
· Knowledge of transportation-related technologies and systems is very beneficial including such areas as traffic signal control systems, CCTV systems, license plate recognition systems, photo systems for red light and speed enforcement, and AVL systems.
· Understanding of the process and activities associated with civil construction work related to installation of similar systems will be beneficial.
· Ability to work from a primary office in Saudi Arabia and travel approximately 25% of the time to field locations in Saudi Arabia and to subcontractors’ factories in various cities in Europe.
· Strong skills in communications, interpersonal communications, negotiations, and client relationships.
· Ability to speak, read, and write in Arabic would be beneficial.
· Strong personal integrity and commitment to ethical behavior.
