Data Analyst and Dashboard Developer: Cross Creek Systems

Analyst position description

We are the leading platform for mobile entertainment attracting millions of unique visitors each month. As a Senior Analyst, you will report to the CEO and serve internal customers from marketing, product, engineering and finance with their data analysis needs. A typical day at the office for you would look like -

- update daily dashboards

- dig into anything out of the ordinary in daily dashboards

- maintain a pipeline of analysis, reports, ad-hoc analysis from various internal customers

- gather detailed requirements from customers

- verify data "cleanliness" periodically

- discuss results and findings with customers

- forage through data looking for patterns

- develop and test hypotheses based on customer requests

- prepare compelling presentations summarizing findings. remember you almost always have an executive audience for your output.

You must be very comfortable with:

- serving internal customers - product, marketing, engineering, finance

- statistics - knowing which formulas to use when, understand statistical significance, multi variate analysis, predictive modeling

- core concepts and metrics for user experience, sales, customer satisfaction, user acquisition

- approaching data analysis in a structured fashion - customer query - > hypotheses -> analysis -> conclusions

- data analysis tools: BI, Excel, Pivot tables, SQL query language

- visualization of data - different chart types for different problems

- large datasets >300K rows per day

- terms that should mean something to you: left join, student's t, linest, in memory db

Compensation

- will be in line with top of the range in the industry

- will depend on your level of experience

Education/Experience

- MS or higher in Engineering, Statistics, or Mathematics

- 5 years minimum work experience
