Outside Sales Representative

TAW® is searching for an experienced Outside Sales Representative. The qualified candidate will cover the following territories: Athens, surrounding counties, and into South Carolina. Founded in 1921; TAW® has grown to become one of the largest rotating equipment repair houses in the country. Our business focus is in repair or replacement of motors, pumps, generators, blowers, compressors, switchgear, motor control, etc.

Will prepare quotes to current and prospective clients on electrical and mechanical repair and service work for new equipment and repair sales for industrial motors. The qualified candidate will build personal and professional relationships with new and current customers. Will be calling on customers in the manufacturing; industrial sectors and other large accounts and will operate efficiently and effectively with a minimum of supervision.

Duties include the following:

  • Develop a sales plan of targeted customers and industries.
  • Plan sales work on a long-term basis by setting quotas on calls made to potential and current clients and the potential of sales for each established account.
  • Prepare sales call lists and targets each week.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Maintain the Companies profit margins.
  • Prepare company presentations.
  • Have technical knowledge of the products and services TAW® offers to its clients.
  • Must be detail oriented and follow up on assigned sales leads promptly.
  • Poses great customer service and problem solving skills while being able to effectively resolve customer complaints.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience:

Good communication skills, enthusiastic attitude, and great customer service skills are a must. High school diploma required preferred level of education of a bachelor’s degree. Three-five years pertinent sales experience preferably in industrial sales or mechanical and electrical sales or related industries desired with prior experience selling pump service and new equipment helpful.
