Senior IT Project Manager - Colorado Springs, CO
Position Description:
This person will be in a project management role that will involve working cross functionally with product teams, engineering teams, and support teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Meet with product management, understand status of any potential scope updates, exchange information regarding changes to product roadmap, update on tasks necessary to go to market, resources for those tasks, timing of those tasks
- Meet with engineering team, assess technical status against plan, identify impediments, appropriate actions to resolve, appropriate personnel to perform resolution
- Meet with support, team leadership, triage support issues and work into current project schedule
- Create change board tickets for upcoming production environment changes, represent ticket at board meeting
- Review risk assessment - any new risks? Any risks more probably than they were formally? Status of mitigation activities.
- Ensure detailed release end game plan exists for hotfixes, upcoming releases
- Monitor release end game activities, ensure flow of time critical activities between team members
- Meet with Launch team, assess tasks preparing for major release, readiness to go to market
- Meet with Support team, assess tasks preparing the support team for supporting the product, ensure any dependencies on the technical team for documentation and training information is worked into the technical plan
- Update status reports to engineering and finance as required
- Proactively prepare for the next release, work with product management and analysts to prepare requirements, specs and other information necessary to kick off planning in a timely fashion
- Review new requirements and specs as they emerge, furthering understanding of what is being implemented
- Review technical infrastructure, gaining understanding of the environment in which the product operates
