Duties Receives incoming and makes outgoing calls (60 to 80 calls) to sell Emerald's products and services. Handles customer service issues, resolves problems, and provides ideas and solutions for marketing. Attends training sessions to gain new ideas; memorizes scripts; learns about products; gathers industry knowledge and improves telephone-selling skills. Provides support, ideas, and information to assist in product development, marketing and improvement of overall sales. Provides success stories that will be helpful in daily dialogue. Provides customer feedback on our products and services that will enable Emerald to be responsive to customer needs and concerns. Makes suggestions for improvement. Solicits new business via outbound cold calling. Closes new business with prospects that call in as leads. Develops strong relations with customers to build a referral network. Participates in formal and informal sales training. Becomes knowledgeable in the Emerald product line and practices within the financial services industry. Skills/Experience 2-3 years of experience in sales, preferably in telephone sales. Excellent communication skills, oral and written. Technical expertise: Strong understanding of the consultative sales approach. Decision making: Ability to analyze, synthesize, evaluate and make decisions. Motivation: Establish and communicate vision, Demonstrates enthusiasm and excitement toward achieving goals. High quality standards: Accuracy, neatness, thoroughness and organizational skills. Organizational skills: Ability to establish priorities to meet goals. PC Skills: Ability to work in Windows as well as contact management system (Goldmine). Must be competent in the use of email (Outlook), and Faxpress. Education or Formal Training BA or BS degree required. Related work experience may be substituted for the educational requirements.
