RN- Emergency Care Center

The Trinity Mother Frances Emergency and Trauma department treats more than 65,000 patients each year in our 52-bed Emergency Care Center (ECC). Work in a state-of-the-art environment with the highly trained medical specialists who staff our Level II Trauma Center and Chest Pain Center .

Featuring four treatment areas (Urgent area, Chest Pain Center, Fast Track and Clinical Decision Unit), our care team includes: Registered Nurses, Licensed Vocational Nurses in the Fast Track, Emergency Medical Technicians, Physicians, and ancillary licensed health care providers to include Respiratory Therapy, Case Management Social Workers, Chaplains, Radiology Technicians, and others.

Job Description

In this role, you will provide essential assessment on the patient’s condition and ongoing evaluation of the patient’s status, and develop care plans based on disease process, signs and symptoms, and spiritual needs/concerns. Additional duties include administering medications safely to patients and the ability to demonstrate unit-specific competencies.

Job Qualifications

This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Nursing or completion of accredited applied science degree program in nursing. Qualified applicants will have a TX RN license & CPR certification and must obtain ACLS, TNCC, & ENPC certifications within one year. Previous experience in an ER setting is preferred.
