Patient Service Representative (part-time)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Patient Service Representatives work with uninsured patients on their public assistance (Medicaid/charity) programs. We establish their eligibility for benefits and counsel them on the programs that are available and guide them through the process of applying. We also work as a liaison between the patients and state/Federal agencies to secure medical assistance program eligibility. Other duties will be assigned. We have the following schedule available:

Saturday and Sunday-8am-8pm Part time

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree is preferred but is not required
• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Must have a strong working knowledge of Medicaid
• Must have a stable work history
• Experience with disability cases through the Social Security Administration is helpful
• Excellent customer service skills required
• Social service experience is a plus
• Bilingual skills are a +
• Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to drive your own car
• Must be willing to work Part time and the hours designated
