Lead CNC Machinist: Manpower

CNC Machnist opportunity is available immediately for a direct hire opportunity in Schenectady County. If you are an experienced, highly skilled CNC Machinist/programmer with proven safety and quality record then this is the job opportunity for you. This lead position will be responsible to assist in the growth of a local machining operation. Get in on the ground floor of this exciting opportunity.

Responsibilities:

1. Setup, programming and operation of the following equipment:

a. CNC Horizontal Bore Mill (HBM) - Femco

b. CNC Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) with 70” Table – Toshiba TUE

c. 400T CNC Press Brake

d. Conventional milling and turning equipment

2. Interpretation of technical drawings and specifications

3. Materials handling including crane operation

4. Ability to measure own product with calibrated gauging

5. Part marking and paperwork diligence

6. Participation in the company ISO 9001 program

Qualifications:

1. More than 10 years Large CNC Machining experience on either HBM or VTL preferably in the Power Generation industry

2. Extensive experience on G-Code programming with Fanuc Controls required

3. Proven ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints

4. Understanding of GD&T

5. Proven track record of material setup, programming and machining complete complex parts

6. Understanding of machine maintenance and safety requirements

HBM or VTL experience as well as G-code programming experience on Fanuc controls is required. Applicants with manual lathe, manual mill, or press brake experience will gain strong preference. Preference will also be given to candidates who have apprenticeship or Journeyman certificate. Salary will depend upon experience.
