Our client is a leading producer of specialty chemicals and resins for a variety of industries and end-uses.

Our client is seeking a Process Safety Management Specialist to oversee their compliance with PSM and RMP regulations. They are seeking an experienced process safety management professional to manage programs and procedures for employee training, compliance auditing, and assurance of workplace safety.

This position is responsible for managing compliance with all corporate safety and environmental compliance policies, as well as local, state and Federal regulations.

This position is responsible for Process Safety Management (PSM) for the multiple production units that are included in their production site.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Develop and implement programs to assure compliance with process safety management (PSM) regulations and standards.
  • Develop and implement programs and procedures for the risk management program (RMP) for each production unit.
  • Develop systems and procedures to monitor and document compliance with PSM and RMP standards.
  • Oversee the maintenance a safe environment at the production site.
REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
  • BS degree in Engineering or Safety Science
  • 5+ years experience in Process Safety Management in the petrochemical or related industry.
  • Experience in developing and leading compliance programs for PSM and RMP.
  • Familiar with the OSHA PSM standards and the EPA RMP regulations.
  • Knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) systems
  • Knowledge of best practices for compliance with PSM and RMP regulations and standards.
  • Knowledge of or participation in OSHA Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) will be a plus.
