| | Electrical Systems Engineer 5 | Minimum Requirements : BS in Electrical Engineering plus ten years industrial experience. Must have proven skills and knowledge in Electrical Power systems design and analyses up to 115KV. Must have conducted the following analyses: Short Circuit, Load Flow, Stability, Protection, Co-ordination and Arc Flash on medium and high voltage systems. The candidate shall be well versed in NEC, 70E, NESC and applicable IEEE, ANSI standards. Experience with ETAP or SKM is preferred. Operation and maintenance experience is a plus. PE License is desired.
Must have good communications and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application program. Must have a valid driver's license. Position may require travel. Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a security clearance. No relocation offered. Job Description : EG&G is an experienced NASA/AF contractor with over 40 years of experience supporting mission critical systems for NASA and AF, the USAF, and other government agencies. We have recently been awarded the NASA KSC Institutional Services Contract (ISC) at Kennedy Space Center.
EG&G is actively seeking an Electrical Systems Engineer to support our KSC Operations.
The chosen candidate will be responsible for controls systems design, specification, programming, simulation and testing, and start-up assistance. Performs a wide range of design development, analysis, or review tasks independently. Responsible for complete designs, analyses, or design reviews. Generate complete design specifications for the most complex projects. Develop, maintain and produce technical documentation and systems/subsystem specifications. Direct interface and liaison with customers at all levels from quotation to final design and test activities, design reviews and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications. Conduct site visits, experimental investigations and analyze engineering problems, propose solutions and alternatives, and provide recommendations. Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures. Prepare, deliver and submit papers and perform engineering studies. EOE M/F/D/V  |
