AUTOMOTIVE QUALITY ENGINEER

Job Location: TRI-CITIES, TN (RESUBMITTED 12/4/09)

Job Description : Our client, a Tier One automotive supplier, has an immediate need for an experienced automotive quality engineer for its manufacturing facility located in scenic Upper East TN. While not commutable, the location is an easy drive to Knoxville, thus affording the benefits of country living costs and environment as well as accessibility to a cosmopolitan area. The position is open as the result of increased business as well as an internal promotion. Position requirements include:

  • Customer liaison, including launch and development of corrective action for nonconforming products.
  • APQP documentation and PPAP submissions.
  • Work with multi-discipline groups to poke-yoke manufacturing process.
  • Issue corrective action reports and monitor internal performance to plan
  • Some supplier quality, as well as minimal travel, will be required.

Job Qualifications :

  • A BS degree from an accredited university.
  • Minimum two years experience in quality with a Tier 1 automotive supplier
  • Stable work record.
  • Plastics or rubber experience ideal but not essential.
  • Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship is absolutely essential.
