Join the many faces of Comcast as a member of our customer service team! Comcast has a full time opportunity for a front desk customer service position in our payment center at 3732 Geary Street (between Arguello and 2nd Avenue) in San Francisco. The individual hired into this role will have a split shift that will require working on Saturdays. The representative will get Sunday and one weekday off and will be assigned an opening shift (8:45am - 5:45pm) or closing shift (10:45am - 7:45pm) and overtime as necessary.

We are seeking a team player who can deliver high quality customer service, with strong communication skills in English, and preferably the ability to speak fluently in one of the languages commonly spoken in San Francisco (Russian, Spanish, or Cantonese).

Job responsibilities include:

- Take payments, including verifying identification and credit card payments. Balance cash drawer.
- Develop and maintain up-to date knowledge of Comcast's product, programming and marketing campaigns in order to effectively sell new or upgrade services.
- Actively listen to customers and align appropriate products/service to their needs and interests.
- View sales as a way of helping customers receive the best value for their money.
- Collect returned equipment from customers and issue receipts for returned equipment.
- Carry equipment to and from storage lockers.
- Effectively and accurately input work orders on-line to prevent any problems relating to the customer.
- Respond to all face to face customer inquiries in a positive and professional manner.
- Use patience and diplomacy in handling difficult customer situations.
- Follow up on customer inquires in order to ensure that customer needs are satisfied in a timely manner.
- Process service reconnections and explains associated charges to customer.
- Complete customer change of service request and service transfer request as needed.
- Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.

Required Skills:
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 year of customer service related work experience with exposure to PCs and other office equipment
- 1 year of sales experience
- Cash handling experience
- Ability to do basic math calculations
- Strong verbal & written communication skills in English
- Ability to speak one of the following languages commonly spoken in San Francisco highly desirable - Russian, Cantonese or Spanish
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including Saturdays, and ability to work overtime, as needed

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to bend, squat and lift
- Ability lift and carry up to 20 pounds of equipment over distances of up to 300 feet
- Ability to stand / walk for 6 to 8 hours per day
- Ability to use hands for fine manipulation, grasping, and pushing/pulling
- Extensive use of desktop computer and keyboard
