Network Manager/Senior Network Engineer: FirstDigital Telecom

FirstDigital Telecom, a leading facilities based communications provider, is currently looking for a qualified candidate to join our team as a Network Manager/Senior Network Engineer to manage the design, implementation and maintenance of networks. This individual will be responsible for the design, configuration and installation of various network services, management of a Data Engineering team and will work on installations and ongoing network maintenance with customers directly.

Requirements:

· Experience with Cisco Routers and Switches including 6500, 3550, 3560, 7500, 7200, 3700, 3600, 2600 Series. Expert level of Cisco IOS

· Expert level understanding of Juniper JUNOS. Specific understanding of Juniper M-Series

· Expert level understanding of internal routing protocols including RIP, OSPF and EIGRP

· Expert level understanding of BGP. I-BGP, E-BGP, MP-BGP for Layer3 MLPS extended communities

· Expert level understanding of MPLS technologies

· Experience with TCP/IP, ppp, hdlc, 802.1Q Trunking, Vlan configuration, DSL, ATM, Fast Ethernet and Gig Ethernet

· Expert level understanding of SIP, MGCP and other VOIP related technologies

· Ability to use protocol analyzers such as wireshark

· Server Administration experience including MS Windows Server 2003 AD, DNS, DHCP

· Experience with documentation of network setup, tasks, and policies

· Equipment purchasing and successful negotiation with vendors and contractors

· Strong troubleshooting and interpersonal relationship skills

· Experience with Data Center and Collocation systems and architecture

Desired Knowledge:

· Acme Packet SBC design and implementation

· Softswitch Architecture for VOIP implementation to business and residential customers

· Experience with Linux Server Administration

· Experience with PHP and/or other scripting languages to help automate day-to-day activities

· MRTG, Cacti, and Solarwinds NPM

· Understanding of Cabling Cat5, COAX, 66/110 Block

Skills/Certifications:

· Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience

· CCNA / CCNP / CCIE
