Job Description
Specific Requirements
Experience: A minimum 5 years direct experience drafting and negotiating contracts for engineering and maintenance services and large contracts for the purchase or sale of major capital equipment in support of industries such as electric utility, gas and oil, construction or mining industries. Preference will be given to experience with the electric utility industry. Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations is helpful but not required.
Skills: Strong oral and written skills, able to analyze contracts to identify and evaluate risks relative to different scopes of work, good negotiation skills, detail oriented, able to handle multiple projects at the same time, strong sense of urgency for schedules and customer orientation.
Duties: Write, review, analyze, modify and negotiate contracts to achieve acceptable risk levels. Work covers agreements for service and equipment, equipment sales, master contracts, settlement agreements, confidentiality agreements, letters of intent, and other contractual terms and conditions. Summarize risks for review and approval by management.
