Client Application Designer

As the experienced Client Application Designer you will be primarily working on a new internal database application. In this role, you will interface with Developers, utilize your solid production skills in Photoshop, PowerPoint (wireframe prototyping), icon creation, and HTML and XAML. You will work autonomously and with good communication skills as you design client UI (wireframe in PowerPoint and update UI changes in XAML). Attention to technological requirements and details are a must.

This is an estimated 3-4 month contract position through Volt Technical & Creative Communication - a division of a Fortune 1000 publicly traded Staffing Industry Leader, which is headquartered in Bothell, Washington. We are among the largest IT staffing companies in the US for contract/temporary and direct hire placements and support most of the top rated IT companies in the Pacific Northwest.



Job Requirements:

Required Skills for this Client Application Designer position includes the following:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a lead role
  • Expert knowledge of user interface and functionality design
  • Strong creative skills and ability to generate design ideas
  • Advanced experience creating and implementing usability studies, personas, user flows, wireframes, style guides, navigational structures and affinity diagrams
  • Advanced knowledge of web technologies (i.e. HTML and CSS)
  • Fluency with standard design software tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc)
  • Advanced interaction design and web technology skills (i.e. Flash) possibly required
  • Expert level experience with database served websites
  • Experience working with rich client or web applications preferred
  • Ability to understand and integrate customer needs and motivations into specific areas of product design to contribute to user features and functionality
  • Ability to own and drive projects
