Ernie Ball is looking for talented Computer Programming Engineer who would be interested in working with one of the world's leading guitar manufacturers. Engineers will be contributing to some existing designs and projects as well as taking part in the design and innovation of new production. Candidates should have a strong knowledge of general programming in most of the following languages; C, Visual C, .Net, Objective C, Cocoa, and/or Java. Knowledge of programming communication protocols such as USB, Firewire etc as well as some circuit design is preferred. Experience with musical equipment, such as guitars, basses, effects etc is a plus. Applicants must have good oral and written communication skills and the ability to work on a team or on an individual basis.

Some of the job duties include but are not limited to...

-Develop and program proprietary software/firmware across multiple computing platforms to be used with a variety of audio specific hardware.


-Develop and program software/firmware by consulting with engineering and marketing staff, studying customer and functional requirements, and researching and testing user interface design.


-Develop tools and technical guides for in-house and customer support or proprietary software/firmware.


-Evaluate electrical systems, products, circuit boards, and components to be used in conjunction with software/firmware development.


-Prepare product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.


-Assure product quality by designing electrical testing methods, testing finished products and system capabilities.
