Managing Principal - Available in Multiple Midwest Locations
Responsible for leadership of the respective office. Responsible primarily for business development, including client relationships and strategic positioning. Responsible for the development and production of annual business plan and ultimately responsible for the overall performance of the office. Direct reports include (when assigned) Operations Director, Design Director, and Business Development Director. Expectation is that 80% of the time is spent interfacing with potential clients with remaining time spent on strategic planning and interfacing with direct reports. Responsible for the development and achievement of the annual business plan.
Responsibilities

Guides and directs staff in the management, development, promotion, and marketing of the office’s services and expertise to appropriate clients

Represents the office to clients in a positive manner

Establishes current and long term office goals, objectives. Works with direct reports to lead the office to achieve designated goals and profitability

Oversee the adequacy and soundness of the office business practice

Reviews performance of the office in achieving business goals

Instrumental in maintaining an effective communication system with clients and within the office
Qualifications

Must be a registered architect with previous experience in leading large, diverse groups of employees

Prefer that the candidate have experience in the local market
