JOB SUMMARY:
Furmanite is seeking candidates in the following disciplines: Machining, to service Furmanite’s industrial clients.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Machinist: The ideal candidate will be responsible for but not limited to: set-up and operate various portable machines In-Situ, follow all safety rules, participate in training, have travel flexibility, be competent and well-rounded in line boring, milling, flange facing and journal turning, work well in a team environment, must have strong customer service skills and both excellent verbal/writing skills.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Documented technical training or equivalent working experience.
Work Experience: 5+ years
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: Working knowledge of industrial plant maintenance and repair work in the bolting, machining and pipe isolation disciplines. Candidate should be familiar with tools and machinery commonly used in these industrial services.
Candidate must be able to lift and carry 75 pounds. Able to bend, stoop, climb and crouch. Ability and strength to operate job related machinery.
Candidate must be able to perform indoor and outdoor work in an industrial setting with large temperature extremes, extreme noise levels and difficult physical demands.
Candidate must be able to work up to 12 hour shifts often requiring multiple days away from home base.
