Responsibilities:
This position will provide technical expertise and be responsible for pre-sales activities in our commercial account base within the assigned territory. As a Technology Pre-Sales Consultant, you will assist in the analysis, design and development of fully integrated technology solutions with a technical emphasis is on hardware capabilities, software requirements and systems integration. You will also assist in developing opportunities, making customer presentations, responding to RFPs and develop technical strategies to deliver EMC solutions that support business objectives within assigned accounts. In addition, you will:
· Deliver ongoing formal and informal training and product positioning that helps customers understand the operational, financial and business impact of EMC solutions.
· Analyze customer's business objectives by asking probing questions that are relevant to the customer. Gathers information from customers that enable the sales team to be more effective and responsive to customer needs.
· Based on the customer''s objectives, use technology expertise to configure solutions utilizing EMC products and services that provide business value to customers and prospects.
· Assist CSL with the development of the technical aspects of sales campaigns.
· Configure and document EMC software, hardware and service solutions to meet customer and sales objectives. Complete pre-site documentation quickly and accurately.
· Responsible for developing and proposing technology solutions that meet customers' needs.
· Ensures that proposed solutions when implemented meet the needs and functional requirements of the customer.
· EMC Proven Professional Certification desired.



Experience and Education
· Possesses strong product/technology/industry knowledge.
· Strong background in complex storage environments. Experience working with SAN, NAS, EMC, NetApp, Hitachi, HDS, IBM, DMX, CLARiiON, etc
· Expertise in backup software products - Data Domain, ComVault, Veritas, Symantec, Legato, Networker, ADIC, Dedup
· Prior experience in the reseller/partner community a plus
· Knowledge of VMware ESX
· Knowledge of Unix, Windows NT/2000/98, Internet Security, Oracle ERP.
· Ability to influence others to achieve results.
· Proven consultative selling skills with the ability to manage multiple sales campaigns and complex sales campaigns.
· The ability to present highly complex technical and business concepts to all levels of an organization.
· A Proven track record of 5 years of progressive accomplishments within your field of work.
