Job Title: Sr. Configuration Analyst - Configuration and Data Management



Job Description:

Configuration Management is the discipline used to establish and maintain the integrity of work products by following a planned approach for implementing CM principals: configuration identification, control, configuration status accounting, audits, data management and product release and delivery. Everyday duties consist of performing tasks associated with implementation of the CM principals. Responsibilities range from providing CM support to a program team of multiple engineering disciplines and management to developing, improving and training the CM processes. Position requires the ability to interface with all engineering disciplines and other business functions, as well as a basic knowledge of CMM/CMMI and ISO 9000 requirements and a program lifecycle and communicating CM status to CM leads and program management. Candidate must also have the ability to identify problems and provide effective solutions to CM related issues, be organized, able to prioritize own task efforts and work effectively in a diverse team environment. Effective oral and written communication skills a must.

Basic Qualifications/Required Skills:
- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Information Science, Library Science or a related field, plus a minimum of four years of applicable work experience or 12 years direct applicable experience if non-degree.
- 4+ years experience implementing Configuration and/or Data Management principals, processes and training such as unique identification of data, establishing and maintaining data library or repository structures for the storage and retrieval of data, and managing changes to data items, p roduct release and delivery, and configuration audits
- 6+ years experience using Microsoft Word and Excel or manipulating information in a database such as Oracle or Access.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- REQUIRES US CITIZENSHIP.

Desired Skills:

* Awareness of ISO or CMMI CM standards and process development/improvement.
* Strong presentation skills with the ability to develop and provide CM training presentations.
* Experience working independently with minimal supervision and within a team environment a strong plus.
* Well organized and able to implement strict process for change control
* Ability to motivate individuals to accomplish change management steps in a timely manner
* Experience working in a technical development environment interfacing with engineers as well as other business functions.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Required Educationn (including Major):

Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Information Science, Library Science, Business Administration or a related field. Equivalent experience may be substituted for education requirements.
