YKHC administers a comprehensive health care delivery system for 50 rural communities in southwest Alaska. The system includes community clinics, sub- regional clinics, a regional hospital, dental services, behavioral health services including substance abuse counseling and treatment, health promotion and disease prevention programs, and environmental health services.
YKHC is a Tribal Organization authorized by each the 58 federally recognized Tribal councils its service area to negotiate with the Federal Indian Health Service to provide health care services under Title III of the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act of 1975. YKHC, along with 12 other Tribal Organizations, is a co-signer to the Alaska Tribal Health Compact, a consortium which secures annual funding agreements with the federal government to provide health care services to Alaska Natives and Native Americans throughout the state. Responsibilities: The person in this position is responsible for oversight of the day-to-day administrative and clinical operations of the Phillips Ayagnirvik Treatment Center (PATC). PATC is a sixteen (16) bed State licensed and JCAHO accredited residential treatment facility located in Bethel, Alaska that serves adults age 18 or older with the region.
Qualifications: · Masters Degree in BH Field Health experience. · At least three (3) years Behavioral Health experience and/or preferably in a residential or inpatient setting. At least TWO (2) years of managerial and/or supervisory experience desired. · Substance Abuse Certification preferred. CPR, First Aid, Non-violent Crisis Intervention and a valid Alaska Driver's License required. · Basic computer knowledge, accuracy and dependability a must. · Provides supervision to Substance Abuse Counselors, Assessors, Case Managers and Administrative Assistant at PATC.
