Production Supervisor in the Assembly Manufacturing Group.



InSinkErator, located in Racine, WI, is the world's leading manufacturer of food waste disposers. We currently have an immediate opening for a Production Supervisor in the Assembly Mfg. Group. Position is responsible for the production operations within an assigned department and includes supervising personnel, following the production schedule to meet different performance metrics, assisting other production departments, working with groups implementing projects and programs targeted at improving the manufacturing operations. Supervisors work to motivate employees with a strong, positive attitude and work with or lead problem solving teams.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities include:

Manage and lead the department workforce including: taking corrective action, conducting discipline, facilitating conflict resolution and enforcing all company policies and procedures.

Manage daily production schedules, realize the effects throughout the shop when schedule is not met and continuously ensure quality production.

Reduce costs of all types, e.g., scrap, rework and keep work standards current with processes.

Improve the operations effectiveness, as measured by productivity, quality, safety and communications goals, by working with various departments.

Oversee the proper training of the department workforce.

Teach, implement and enforce safety policies and procedures, including housekeeping.

Direct or be member of continuous improvement teams. These teams may include many disciplines i.e., Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.

Complete production reports and safety forms.

Must be able to work any shift.
