Store Manager
Job Description:
We are looking to hire an experienced retail store manager. Candidates must demonstrate exceptional customer service, communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff to excellence. A minimum of 3 years retail Store Management experience and computer skills are required.
Responsibilities:
- Operating a multimillion dollar bookstore
- Maintaining company merchandising standards; fully participating in general merchandising buying programs
- Ensuring the proper procedure of textbook cycle of adopting, purchasing, selling, and returning of textbooks
- Improving and monitoring performance on a regular basis to promote optimal store growth
- Maintaining positive relationships with clients
- Recruiting, hiring, evaluating, training and developing store personnel
- Constantly communicating within the store and outside of the store with clients, the Regional Manager and the Home Office
Qualifications:
- College degree preferred
- 3 + years retail store management experience with a customer service focus
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of Word and Excel
- Must be able to work flexible hours and occasional evenings and weekends
