Senior Designer Description: Our Senior Designer will be responsible for creating innovative user experience solutions for consumers, B2B and everyone in between. We are looking for someone who always thinks of the user first. You must possess a sophisticated aesthetic sense that works across multiple digital media, a dedication to innovation and, most of all, a love for the convergence of design and technology. Profile: Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record of execution and delivery of digital solutions that combine strong usability with an engaging storytelling experience. Reporting to the Creative Director, our Senior Designer will design a wide-variety of challenging projects (websites, widgets, digital applications, mobile experiences and social media destinations) that focus on bringing our client's communication goals to life in the most engaging ways possible. Responsibilities:
- The ability to understand and absorb the vision, strategy and execution of the user experience aligned with brand, marketing and business objectives
- Portray subject matter expertise in the areas of information architecture, online user behavior and analytics, usability testing and industry standard user experience best practices
- Immersion into client industries ranging from health and social marketing, pharma, consumer brands and public affair campaigns
- Provide innovative, user-centric, information and visual design recommendations
- Evaluate the effectiveness of new and existing products & features, performance metrics, customer feedback and competitive landscape
- Producing creative design from independent development of concepts to well-organized handoff digital assets to our development team
- Function as a brand steward by developing and comprehending client style guides while maintaining consistent graphic identities that align with other print and advertising media
- Superb attention to detail while juggling multiple projects, priorities and deadlines
- Collaboration with a diverse team of digital strategists, producers, art directors, copywriters and account teams
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia or related discipline from an accredited college or university required
- A minimum of 6-7 years of digital design experience
- Demonstrated ability to develop conceptual visual ideas and execute against them to create innovative digital solutions in a highly collaborative environment
- Thorough understanding of best practices in web design and user interface/information architecture conventions
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of user experience deliverables such as site maps, wireframes, flow charts personas, functional specifications and style guides
- Software expertise including: Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word and Omnigraffle (or Visio)
- Working knowledge of presentation-layer technologies, including HTML, DHTML, JavaScript and CSS
- A background in brand identity and print/advertising design is a huge plus
