Software Engineer (SOA) - Navy BAMS Program

You could join the Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems Software team and support development of the Mission Control System (MCS) for the Navy’s Broad Area Maritime Surveillance (BAMS) System. In this level 2 Software Engineering position you would be responsible for the design and development of Server Oriented Architecture (SOA) infrastructure and system of systems interoperability software. This software will allow for the connection of legacy C4ISR systems, such as GCCS-M, DCGS-N, connection to SIPRNET C4ISR data sources, and translation of messages to and from several formats such as Link-16, VMF, and various STANAG formats. Note: A Secret Security Clearance will be requested for the person in this position.

The NAVY BAMS PROGRAM will employ a derivative of the RQ-4 Global Hawk equipped with a 360 degree Multi-Function Active Sensor (MFAS) Maritime Radar and mission optimized Multi-Spectral Targeting System. It will deliver unprecedented long range, persistent maritime ISR capabilities world-wide

Basic Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent, plus a minimum of two (2) years experience. Experience with software requirements analysis, design, code, and test is required. Candidate should also have experience programming in Java and experience working with XML. U.S. Citizenship is Required.

Preferred Experience:The ideal candidate would have experience with web services, XMPP, SOAP, XSLT, and/ or ESB technologies but is not required. Effective coordination, communication and organization skills are essential.
