National Vision, Inc., the nation s 4^th largest optical company, is in search of an Employee Relations Generalist for our corporate office in Lawrenceville, GA. NVI offers a fun, business-casual environment as well as a great benefits package!

This position provides a broad range of Human Resources support, with heavy emphasis on the delivery of Employee Relations support to the field sales and manufacturing areas of the organization. S/he works closely with the HR Director to lead and support on a variety of other HR work and projects, including (but not limited to) , training, performance management, workers compensation, safety/OSHA, leaves of absence, unemployment, etc. In this position you will:

• Serve as primary representative for field and manufacturing based ER issues. Interpret, advise and provide support to facilitate consistent and fair application of NVI s policies and procedures. Enable effective resolution of employee and workforce issues. Promote a positive culture and business climate.
  
• Support and coach managers on performance management process and documentation. Conduct investigations. Advise on policy violations and disciplinary action. Approve terminations. Engage with HR Director and legal department as appropriate.
  
• Serve as the contact for worker s comp issues. Coordinate with 3^rd party administrator and line managers. Track and maintain all claims as well as OSHA logs for all locations. Participate in safety committee meetings, take minutes and report annual findings to state government authorities. Assist with quarterly safety training as well as provide suggestions for changes to current annual training, policies, processes, etc.
  
• Assist in other areas of compliance as needed. Evolve as needed in response to changing business needs and compliance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
  
• 3 years in the HR discipline
  
• Knowledge of employment laws and regulations highly desirable (Title VII, FMLA, EEO, etc.)
  
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong judgment, and effective consulting, coaching, and counseling skills
  
• Preferred candidate will be self-directed, highly results-driven and performance-oriented, with a strong sense of urgency and customer orientation
  
• Strong project management, process management, and analytic skills also highly desirable
  
• Must be effective in a fast-paced, high volume environment.
