Technical Communication Faculty

Oregon Institute of Technology, a member of the Oregon University System, seeks applications for a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track position in the Communications Department.

Teaching opportunities include lower- and upper-division technical communication courses.

Minimum qualifications:

§ Master’s degree in relevant field

§ Hands-on experience in business, industry, and/or academe

§ Demonstrated ability to teach specialized upper-division technical communication courses (documentation development, editing, etc.)

§ Ability to work collaboratively

Preferred qualifications:

• Ph.D. in relevant field
• Teaching experience (classroom, training, and/or workshops)
• Experience with publishing software (desktop, graphics, presentation)
• Familiarity with web design and management
• Evidence of publications/presentations
• Activity in appropriate professional organizations
