Description:

Lexington Insurance Company, a Chartis company, has an opportunity in its Program Department for an Administrative Assistant.

The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:
Process travel and expense reports.
Prepare reports.
Type correspondence, memos and presentations.
Organize and maintain files.
Provide back up phone support.

Additional duties will include:
Making travel/hotel arrangements.
Coordinating daily calendar.
Scheduling meetings.
Arranging conference/video calls.
Filing.
Archiving and responding to daily email correspondence

Position Skills and Requirements:
This position requires demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills at all levels of business, including interacting with staff and external business parties.

The ability to handle high-profile relationships with a professional demeanor is essential.

Candidate must be well organized, meticulous, and detail oriented with demonstrated effective time-management.

The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to take initiative in problem solving will be critical.

A high degree of flexibility will be required in this position.

Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel is required.

Strong analytic ability and a solid financial understanding used for tracking and preparing expense reports are essential.

Must be capable of multi-tasking in a busy environment and have the ability to effectively prioritize tasks and work within deadlines when required.

The ability to handle confidential information relating to legal, financial, human resource and other sensitive issues is critical.

Candidate will have a thorough knowledge of administrative practices and procedures, as typically acquired through five or more years experience in an administrative role.

Three or more years being in an executive support role.

Preferred Undergraduate degree, preferably in business, is highly desirable.
