RFIC Power Amplifier Design Engineer

Position Responsibilities:
• Design RFIC from concept definition, die level, to final PA design, and troubleshoot problems of RFIC to root cause
• Work with RFIC development and production
• Improve RFIC performance and test methods
• Design RFIC Power Amplifiers for new product developments
• Design high-efficiency RF power amplifier products and frequency and power range (400MHz - 3800MHz, 10W - 200W range)
• Perform 2D/3D EM simulation design and implementation
• Develop and design RFIC Power Amplifier products for existing standards (GSM/EDGE, CDMA, W-CDMA)
• Perform detailed circuit simulation and circuit modeling using ADS, Microwave Office, or Cadence tools
• Perform conceptual and detailed design of RFIC PA circuits for wireless cellular base station applications
• Carry out all passive and active device design details and test and validation of prototypes
• Document technical findings

Position Requirements:
• BSEE with 3-5 yrs experience or MSEE with 1-5 yrs experience in the design and development of RFIC Power Amplifier Circuits
• PhD with RF Power or specialty focus is desired
• Proficiency in designing Integrated RF Power Amplifiers using ADS, Microwave Office, or Cadence layout tools
• Working knowledge in: high power devices, test bench characterization, high power packaging technology, fabrication and troubleshooting of high power RF circuits
• Experience in advanced RF Switching Power Amplifier Design specializing in GHz clad DPA
• Experience in high efficiency RF Power Amplifiers, specifically in GHz Outphasing PA
• Expert experience and knowledge of semiconductor device, RF power transistors matching networks design required (linearization scheme experience is preferred)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, project oriented team environment
