Job Summary:
The primary purpose of this position is to: conduct a wide variety of financial analysis projects within the various finance departments as well as within departments across the company.
Job Responsibilities:
* Prepare valuation models and pro forma financial statements to determine the impact of existing and potential supply transactions and acquisitions and analyze actual results versus pro forma projections.
* Participate in the development of the company’s budget and forecasts.
* Continually monitor business performance, identifying and analyzing variances to budgets and forecasts and provide management insight into trends, issues and opportunities.
* Analyze company profitability by customer, vendor, product line and warehouse.
* Analyze financial implications of shifting customers and/or product lines between warehouses and/or changing warehouse network locations.
* Identify cost savings initiatives.
* Prepare accounting reports for various entities under common ownership.
* Provide management with analysis and recommendation of industry trends and impact of macro-economic factors.
Job Requirements:
* MBA with an undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related discipline.
* 4+ Years relevant corporate finance experience.
* Experience in supply chain/logistics, retail, wholesale and/or public accounting a plus.
* Proficiency with MS software applications including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
* Exceptional analytical, critical reasoning and communication skills are essential.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must. Candidates must be self motivated and pay excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to build and present presentations.
* Project Management skills preferred.
