Position Overview:
The Application Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining a client facing Internet Lead Management and CRM application. Successful candidate will work closely with a small elite project team to produce a feature rich web application experience for our clients. Must be a self-starter with the ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills are a must. 5+ years of related work experience, and a BA/BS or equivalent experience required.
Job Requirements:
• The Developer will work closely with the Development Manager, Product Manager, and Support Team throughout the full life cycle of projects
• Must be comfortable working in both structured and un-structured development environments
• Must be able to quickly come up to speed with complex applications
• Must exhibit exceptional ability to design user interfaces
• Will incorporate marketing strategies and customer feedback into future design
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills will be needed
• Must have ability to tune applications for optimum performance
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Required technical skills and experience
• 5+ years of demonstrated experience designing and developing enterprise web applications on a Java (J2EE) platform
• Demonstrated experience designing and developing service oriented architectures
• Strong Java language skills
• Spring 3.0 (or earlier versions) framework required
• MVC frameworks (Struts, Spring MVC)
• Data persistence and ORM using JPA (Hibernate)
• Strong XHTML, CSS, XSLT, and JavaScript (JQuery or Prototype) skills required
• Proficient with Subversion or other source code control systems
• Proficiency with UML is a plus
• Perl, C++, and C# a plus
• SQL required, Microsoft SQL Server preferred, MySQL a plus
• Flash and ActionScript 3.0 a plus
• Unix/Linux OS experience a plus
